Output Type

Select whether each file should be Backed up to a compressed output file (ZIP) or if the files should be left in their original state and simply copied to the backup location.  Zip output files are recommended.

Compression

If ‘ZIP’ is selected for the output type, you have the option to select from either high, medium or low compression.

Encryption Level

If ‘ZIP’ is selected for the output type, you have the option to encrypt and password protect the backup file. Caution: If you choose to encrypt the backup and cannot remember the password, there is no way to retrieve the data.

Password

Specify a password that must be entered to open the backup file when encryption is enabled.

Process Type

Select whether an existing backup job will be overwritten by a job of the same name, or updated with the data contained in the new backup job.

Verification Mode

Setting the Verification to all files will examine the backup set bit by bit to ensure that the data was copied without corruption.

Status

Specify whether the backup job will be active or inactive. Active jobs will run during their normally scheduled times. Inactive jobs will not run.

Purge Rule

Specify how long backup sets will be kept before being deleted.
