Verification

Turning on Verification will cause ION to examine the backup set bit by bit to ensure that the data was copied without corruption. Verification dramatically increases the time it takes to complete a backup.

Processor Priority

The level of priority that the computer will give to this transfer job. Higher priority means the computer will focus on this application and will give lower priority to other programs that are running.

Pre & Post Commands

Specify any command line arguments that you require to be run before or after the backup job is launched. This is an advanced function and is typically used by system administrators to stop and restart key services before and after data in their system is backed up. 

Click on Edit to add or modify Pre & Post Commands.

Exclude Rules

These files will not be backed up even if they are in one of the folders you select to backup. ION has a default list of Global Exclude Rules that pertain to all jobs. These Global Exclude Rules can be viewed or modified from the ION Settings screen.

Click on Edit to add or modify Exclude Rules.
