ION Version 2.5 Help Menu

Welcome Tab
The Welcome screen allow users to access all of the major features of ION. Users
may set up backup jobs, enable ION to receive transfers, run restores and many other functions. ION is intended to provide complex and powerful functionality in a simple and straight-forward interface.
The File Menu at the top provides the ability to Minimize, Restart, or Shut-down ION.
The Options Menu allows the user to check the connection to the Universe Point Server, retrieve the list of computers to send data to, or Install ION as a Service.
The Help Menu provides several options for retrieving help and support, including links to this webpage and the ability to check for new ION updates.

Buttons

Create a Backup
|
Create a Local or Off-Site Backup job. Local Backups can be stored on the local machine, a network drive, or an external hard drive. Off-Site Backup jobs send data
to a location of your choosing

Edit a Saved Job
|
Edit an existing Local or Off-Site Backup job.
|
|
Run a Saved Job
|
Run an existing Local or Off-Site Backup job.
|
|
Restore
|
Restore files from a previously run Backup Job.
|
|
Set Me Up to Receive Transfers
|
Enable and configure the ability to Receive Off-Site Backups from other ION Sites.

History
|
View the history of jobs executed including file backups, received file transfers
and file restores.
|
|
Monitoring
|
Configure Monitoring Notification settings for both Phone and Email.
|
|
Licensing
|
View and update license information.
|
|
Settings
|
Configure system settings including file transfer locations and storage parameters,
file exclusion rules and connection settings.
|
|
Stations
|
View associated stations. You can also monitor the progress of an ongoing file Backup or Transfer job.
|
|
Incoming
|
View active Incoming transfers or View and Configure ION settings to receive transfers from other locations.
